Die in Berlin aufgewachsene DANJA MATHARI lebt seit
vielen Jahren im Ruhrgebiet, wo sie auf das Underground-
Electro-Kollektiv TENGU BASEMENT sowie ihr Label Z-MUZIC
traf. Jetzt praesentiert die Kuenstlerin mit
multikulturellem Background ihr zweites, von Labelchef
und Bandschlagzeuger SEBASTIAN MAIER produziertes Album.
Noch pointierter und schluessiger als auf ihrem Debuet
Shades Of July gelingt DANJA ATARI ein ambitionierter
und ergreifender Entwurf von Electro-Pop mit
vielschichtigen Einfluessen und sehr abwechslungsreichem
Songwriting. Schwungvolle, schiebende Tracks wie der
Opener 97 oder das vom Labelkollegen SOLA PLEXUS
gesanglich unterstuetzte Golden Shoes haben ganz klar
den Dancefloor im Visier, bestechen aber genauso mit
Eleganz und kuehlem Charme. Das housige Sans Alies und
das balladeske Broken Shed stehen exemplarisch fr die
lyrischen und vertraeumt-sphaerischen Aspekte in DANJAs
Klanguniversum. DANJA ATARI macht klar, dass Electro-Pop
mit Anspruch und Abwechslung trotzdem eingaengig und
tanzbar sein kann. Genres wie Trip Hop, Breakbeat, World
Music, Techno und House, die oft behutsam zitiert werden,
